In Bed With Books

So I signed up for Influenster, a review program that periodically sends you little boxes of goodies.  I thought it might be fun to branch out of books every once in awhile.  I received my first box yesterday and started playing with the products.

This is Sally Hansen Magnetic Color in Graphite Gravity (with a Seche Vite base coat).  I didn’t bother to clean up my mistakes or put on a top coat because I took it off immediately after this photo.  Why?  Because the color is so not summer and I couldn’t really get the magnet effect to work.  If you look at my big left toe, well, that was my best attempt.  I managed that with a triple-thick coat and holding the magnet above my toe for 45 seconds.  (My hand was twitching by the end.)  I may try the effect again later, but I was not impressed by the magnet. 

However: the formula and brush are brilliant.  The color went on like a dream.  I actually got one-coat coverage!  I don’t know the last time that happened.  I don’t really need a polish this color as I own Stone Cold by China Glaze.  (Stone Cold is a matte, but I can make it look similar to this with the right overcoat.)  But I’d be tempted by some of the other Sally Hansen colors if they all go on this beautifully.
